I’m Jo Lenz, a self-taught artist, poet, and writer based in Berlin. My creative journey began with a moment of intuition, while pandemic, leading me down a path of constant evolution. In every brushstroke, every layer of paint, and every written word, I find expression and freedom.

My Artistic Philosophy

"There is no 'wrong' here, only freedom – the freedom to create, feel, and explore, because I never want more than to surprise myself..." These words guide my work. I paint without preconceived ideas, letting the colors and shapes tell their own story. My artworks emerge spontaneously, intuitively, and in the moment, inviting the viewer to lose themselves in their own imagination.

Inspiration and Style

I draw my inspiration from everyday moments, nature, stories, and the deepest emotions. The whimsical and often surreal character of my works opens a door to worlds that usually remain hidden. I play with colors, shapes, and textures to evoke thought and emotion in the viewer.

More Than Just Art

In addition to painting, I write poems and stories that reflect the same sense of freedom and discovery as my artworks. This multidisciplinary approach allows me to tell stories both visually and through words, sharing my world with the world outside.
